Competency framework

The competency levels expected for the role you wish to apply for are contained in the job description/person specification. For more information and detail on these levels, please download Audit Scotland's competency framework below.

Each level of performance within the framework is cumulative. This means behaviours in previous levels are prerequisites for the next level. For example, if your role is allocated level C in Delivering Quality Services, you would be expected to meet performance standards outlined in levels A , B and C.

The Framework contains our eight core competency descriptions and represents the types of behaviour we wish to promote, develop and engender at Audit Scotland. Our competencies comprise of:

  • Customer & Stakeholder Focus
  • Delivering Quality Service
  • Leadership & Management
  • Networking & Relationship Building
  • Reason, Judgement & Decision Making
